"The British Invasion of the '60s" presented by Marshall County Historical Society

Description
"The British Invasion" of the 1960s and Influence on Marshalltown Area Music" is sponsored by the Marshall County Historical Society (HSMC) as part of its monthly "History on Second Tuesday" programs. It will feature Jim Downs and the band Inner Light. Downs is a member of the Iowa Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Yardbirds and more - all hailing from Great Britain - inspired the origin and development of many Marshalltown-area bands. Kyle Martin of local radio stations KFJB-KIX 101 will emcee.
The event is free-of-charge and open to the public. A free-will donation is encouraged. Donations enable HSMC to present more programs like tothe Sept. 9 event and to fulfill its mission of preserving important county artifacts and more.
