Get Fired Up for Freedom! Classic Car Cruise Through

Swing on over to the official kickoff of the Red, White & Blue Celebration in Marshalltown, Iowa! This is presented by the 13th Street District and invites you all to come out and celebrate with us!

Shine 'Em Up & Show 'Em Off – Cruise Through
Thursday, July 2nd, 2026

This year is a little different - experimenting with a twist on our usual Car Cruise-In! Bring out your classic cars, hot rods, sharp trucks, mint tractors, and favorite rides for a fun Cruise Through (think parade style) through the Iowa Veterans Home and the 13th Street District!

Here's the plan:
5:30–6:15 PM – Vehicles meet and line up at West End Park / Tankersley (220 N 13th St., Marshalltown, IA) Come in on Summit St. and turn on 14th St. to enter the park.
5:30–7:30 PM – Community members and guests find a spot to watch along the route. We welcome back Cat Trax with Cat Campbell-Currier- DJ and Emcee extraordinaire for your entertainment & enjoy good eats in the 13th Street District & Plaza before or after the Cruise Through.
6:30 PM – Cruise Through begins! Route will travel up through Iowa Veterans Home grounds from the park and then down into the 13th Street District - dispersing at the corner of W. Main St.

 Dive-up registration upon arrival to park - includes owner's name (optional), make and model of the vehicle as will be announced as you pass the Echo Sculpture. Please include if you, yourself, are or you have any Veteran from any branch of military in your vehicle so may also extend our thanks to them too! No cost to register- free will donation graciously accepted but not expected. Proceeds go to the 13th Street District non-profit to support beautification efforts and host fun events like this in the District.

Friends! Just want to watch? Great! This is for you too! Everyone is welcome to come spectate! Please join us! Find a spot along the route through the 13th Street District sidewalks and Iowa Veterans Home grounds. Grab a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the show with your family and neighbors!
