On Sunday, August 2nd at 3 pm the Pioneer Heritage Library is hosting former Hawkeye football player Robert Smith. He will speak in the community center. He has written a book: The book, "Before the World Knew My Name," is basically an autobiography -- it's my journey from Woodland City apartments in Dallas, Tx., through my years as an Iowa Hawkeye football player, up to my time in public office in Waterloo. I've learned a lot during those years, and had some truly awesome experiences. I'm a better, stronger man as a result and really want to use my wealth of experience to uplift others.
